How to send money through ANZ

Information Needed to Make a Money Transfer

Before you can initiate a transfer through ANZ, you will be asked to provide all the necessary information on the beneficiary. This includes: name, address, account number and bank details. You will also need an ANZ transaction account or ANZ credit card to send money through ANZ.

Internet Transfer

This is the cheapest and easiest way to send money through ANZ. You can purchase an “International Money Transfer” online using the “International Services” menu on ANZ’s website.

Phone Transfer

Using an ANZ transaction account, you can also transfer money through ANZ’s phone banking services. You will also need a touch-tone phone, one or multiple linked ANZ accounts, a CRN and a Telecode. Visit the ANZ website for more information.

Branch Transfer

You can also visit a Foreign Exchange Centre or ANZ branch to send money. Some would say this is the best way to send money through ANZ because there is added peace of mind when you’re physically present.

How long will my transfer take?

This greatly depends on how long the beneficiary’s bank takes to credit the account once they’ve received funds. If you provide all the correct information, it typically takes 2-4 working days for a transfer to show up in the beneficiary’s account. Please note, that weekends and public/bank holidays may delay the delivery of funds.

Is it safe to send money through ANZ?

ANZ uses an array of different systems and procedures to keep your money safe during a transfer. These include: high-grade encryption, a fraud detection system, 24/7 support, automatic time-outs, and the “ANZ Shield.” All international money transfers are backed by the ANZ Internet Banking Guarantee.
