How to send money through Kiwibank

Telegraphic transfers

This is the fastest way to get money to an overseas account. The money should arrive in two to three business days for most countries, though the final delivery time is up to the recipient's bank.

Features
-Money usually arrives within two to three business days of sending
-Reference details can be included with the payment so it can be easily identified in the recipient's bank statement
-If you regularly send money overseas to the same account, you can save time by saving the payee in internet banking.

You can send a telegraphic transfer by:
-using internet banking
-going to your local Kiwibank
-downloading an International money transfer request form on the Kiwibank website and emailing it to [email protected]..

International direct credits
This is a secure way to send money directly to another person, rather than to a bank account. It's like writing a bank cheque in the local overseas currency.

You can send an international direct credit by:
-using internet banking
-going to your local Kiwibank.
-downloading an International money transfer request form on the Kiwibank website and emailing it to [email protected].

Bank drafts purchased through internet banking will be mailed direct to the recipient on your behalf and are sent by standard post. Delivery times may differ from country to country but are usually within 10 business days.

This service can also be requested at your local Kiwibank, or you can choose to collect your bank draft the following day (as long as it's ordered before 3pm) and arrange postage yourself.
